The KTLA traffic anchor Ginger Chan is rumored to leave KTLA after her husband Mark Kono resigned from the show.
Ginger Chan joined the KTLA team in March 2008 as a traffic and news reporter from the Sky5 helicopter. Every weekday morning from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m., she assists commuters in avoiding collisions and construction projects.
Ginger previously worked at KIIS-FM, where she reported traffic and covered the news as a fill-in for Ellen K. She spent her mornings and afternoons flying over Southern California in a Cessna 172, covering traffic for KLAC-AM shows.
The host is married to Mark Kono the Sky5 pilot and reporter. The couple has helped many of us get to our destinations during busy traffic hours.
When it came to road safety, Ginge and her husband, KTLA traffic reporter and pilot Mark, were the ultimate dream team. Ginger in the studio is watching the weather from the ground, while Mark is watching from above via Sky 5.
The dynamic duo always kept things professional, but they did sneak in the occasional inside joke, which we appreciated.
Why Does Everyone Think Ginger Chan Might Be Leaving KTLA?
There are no official reports stating that Ginger Chan is leaving KTLA. We don’t think she will be leaving the show any time soon.

The pilot stated that it was time for a change. He wants to switch things up a little and go on a different adventure. However, he had a great experience piloting and reporting for KTLA alongside his wife.
Fans of the show started speculating that if Mark is leaving then Ginger might be leaving with him. But there are no official reports backing this statement up. It could just be a fake rumor.
