Born on December 29, 1959, in Ario de Rosales, in Mexico, Solís started singing and performing on stage from the age of six.
He co-founded the band Los Bukis in 1975, in which he was the lead vocalist and guitarist.
The band recorded much success in Mexico, Central America, South America, and the United States; before he went solo nearly two decades after.
Solís recorded his first solo album titled En Pleno Vuelo in 1996 and has since released several hits.
As a singer, songwriter and producer, Solis has won countless awards at the Latin Grammy Awards, the Billboard Latin Music Awards and the Lo Nuestro Awards.
