Moana, who stars as the main character in the Disney animation, Moana, was voiced by American actress, Auli’I Cravalho. She was cast for the role when she was 14 years old, however, she was 16 years old when the movie was released.

Former wrestler now-turn actor, Dwayne Johnson, best known as The Rock, who voiced Maui in the Disney animation film, Moana, has shared, there will be a live-action adaption of the popular 2016 animation.
He also added that many of the voice characters, like Grandma Tala, Hei Hei the chicken, and more will reprise their roles in the live-action film. It is also believed that Cravalho will reprise her role as the main character of the film.
We are so excited and happy to announce that a live-action reimagining of Moana is in the works. Moana, Grandma Tala, the music, the dance, the village, the beautiful powerful ocean, and one more… oh! yours truly, Hei Hei the chicken. But of course, Maui will be in it too,” The Rock said.
